| 26/04/2010 Fort Cambridge winner at the Home Overseas Russian Awards
Fort Cambridge has been recognised internationally as one of the best developments and one of the most eco friendly projects in the world, during the first Russian Home Overseas Property Awards.
The awards were announced on April 8, at a gala ceremony which was held in the Marriott Grand Hotel in Moscow. There were over 200 people present among some of the most prominent names in the industry and for the first time in the history of Russian real estate all the elite of the industry were present in the same room.
The awards received are a further boost and further proof of Fort Cambridge’s commitment to being not only a unique, state-of the-art development but also to make use of the latest eco-friendly technologies and construction methods. In fact, the project by GAP Developments plc, was awarded Gold in the Best Eco Project category and Bronze in the Best Apartment Complex Categories, overcoming fierce competition in the process.
Built on the Tigne peninsula of Sliema, the Fort Cambridge residential project comprises purpose built seafront apartments designed with comfort and excellence in mind.
“We are very proud of these awards, confirming our feeling that this project is a real jewel crown for the local property market,” stated George Muscat, chairman of GAP. The development of Fort Cambridge is now into its final stages and is on target for completion by mid 2011.
The Russian Home Overseas Awards, established by the publishing house Independent Media Sanoma Magazines, is designed to give new impetus to the development of foreign real estate industry, to create an effective platform for networking professionals to provide ample marketing opportunities to all participants.
The award evaluates the relevance of foreign real estate projects, with the best of them receiving gold, silver and bronze awards.
The prize was first launched in late November 2009 and by February 2010 more than 250 applications from 65 companies worldwide were submitted, with 380 projects participating in the awards. These were judged by a jury of recognised experts in the field of foreign real estate, as well as representatives of sponsors and the media, who chose those projects they considered to be the best in 18 categories.
